Description

Fenders are an important body part of a car that surrounds the wheel and its primary use is to prevent sand, mud, and other road waste from being thrown in to the air at other vehicles or pedestrians. Fenders are light weight and is made of ABS plastic or fiber glass. In case your fender is damaged or bent it may need to be replaced.

The Fender Liner, located between your vehicles fender and the wheels, protects your vehicles underhood from water and impurities such as mud, dirt and debris. Also known as the inner fender, it is usually made of metal or plastic.

The outer fender serves the purpose of preventing the mud sand and water from being flung away by the spinning tires. The inner fender acts as a dividing block between the outer fender and the engine.

It is attached to the inner edge of the outer fender by clips that help it remain in the proper position.Since the fender liner is continuously exposed to moisture and impurities, it tends to wear out over time. Hence, it should be checked on a regular basis and replaced, if required.
